We are pleased to announce that Joanna Trzcińska-Wencel, PhD student at AST (biological sciences, supervisor prof. P. Golińska), is the co-author of an interesting publication entitled "Green Synthesized Silver Nanoparticles: Antibacterial and Anticancer Activities, Biocompatibility, and Analyses of Surface-Attached Proteins".
The work was published in April 2021 in the journal "Frontiers in Microbiology" (IF= 4.235). The publication shows that the silver nanoparticles synthesized in a "green" and therefore environmentally friendly manner have the desired effect on neoplastic cells. Mrs Trzcińska-Wencel won the competition "Inicjatywa Doskonałości - Grants4NCUStudents", thanks to which she receives support for research on the use of silver nanoclusters to combat dangerous bacterial biofilms.
